“AAARGH!!!” Yamada groaned in frustration as he pushed back his chair from the desk, hands ruffling his hair.
“What’s wrong, Yama-chan?” Yuto glanced up from his reading, laying on his stomach and elbows propped on his bed as he flipped to the next page.
“I don’t get it!!!” Yamada’s body went limp as his arms draped over his chair.
“Hmm… then take a break?” Yuto suggested, trying to finish the last few sentences of the book.
“No! I can’t! I’ve already procrastinated long enough!!!” He placed a hand over his eyes. “I’m tired… it’s too much work… I doubt I can finish… I give up…”
“Nuuu Yama-chaaan!!! You must never give up!!! You must try! Try your best!!! And you can do anything! Even fly!!!” Yuto sat up and flapped his arms frantically.
“You know… you can’t fly that way…” Yamada muttered and plopped onto the bed next to Yuto. “It’s just stressing… that’s all…”
Yuto’s expression turned serious as he said, “It’s stressing for all of us… I’m going through the same thing as you… I mean… dancing, practicing, singing, performances, school, and all the other stuff. You get used to it, you know?”
“No… I don’t know. I fail… at everything!!! I FAIL!!!” Yamada answered, obviously confused.
“You don’t FAIL!!! Don’t say that!!! Everything may seem really hard at first but you’ll get the hang of it eventually. You just need to work hard and put in lots of effort. Don’t procrastinate too much. You’ll need some self-discipline and motivation! I know you will survive, Yama-chan! I will support you all the way! GAMBATTE!” Yuto exclaimed.
"I do FAIL!!! Don't you lie to me!!! I know you are!!! I'm HORRIBLE in everything!!!" Yamada complained.
"I'm not lying! It's the truth!!! You're the one lying!!! I know you have the potential to do it!!! Don't give up so easily! Stop being emo about this!" Yuto retorted.
"Well I'm sorry that I'm a negative person! I just can't help it!!! Everything is so difficult!!! So many changes!!! I just don't like that!" he countered.
"Be optimistic! Don't put yourself down too much! And life is meant to have changes! If we didn't everything would stay the same, nothing will happen!"
"But... changes are... scary... and new... and hard, Yuto-kun!"
"I know... but you have me to support you along the way... when you fall, I'll help you back up. When you need someone, I'll be there for you. Because I know... that you, Yama-chan... are capable are doing anything when you put your mind and heart into it," Yuto assured him. "So please believe me... and also believe in yourself. You can't get it wrong because you can make it up! You have the chance to change! Take a chance!"
Yamada's expression broke into a smile hearing those lyrics they sang from 'Your Seed' along with 'Chance to Change' and said, “Thank you, Yuto-kun… I understand. Even though it’ll be hard...” He sighed and laid down on the bed. “Can I just take a nap? I haven’t been getting that much sleep.”
“Fine, but I’m waking you up in 30 minutes. You better wake up or else something will happen.” Yuto grinned mischievously.
“Wha? Something else? Do I even want to know?” Yamada asked with uncertainty. He didn’t like the look on Yuto’s face.
“Just go to sleep. You have to sleep starting now!” Yuto pointed at his watch and then pulled the covers over Yamada.
“Hey! That doesn’t count! Start it when I close my eyes!” Yamada laughed as he snuggled in the blanket and drifted to sleep.
Some time later, something started to poke him. He murmured, “Go away,” and then threw the covers over himself. Yuto yanked it hard and cool air hit Yamada. He curled up, slightly shivering and wishing that the warmth would come back. Yamada got pushed onto his back and grumbled at the discomfort of the position. He opened his lids halfway, only to see a blurry figure waving at him and closed them again. The taller boy reached over to Yamada’s hair and brushed his bangs aside. He leaned down and planted a kiss on Yamada’s forehead. The older boy winced a bit before relaxing again. Yuto suddenly jumped onto Yamada’s stomach.
The latter shot open his eyes. “OWW!!! What was that for, Yuto-ku” He didn’t finish what he was going to say when Yuto silenced him with a kiss while Yamada returned it.
Yuto pulled away and murmured, “Wake up, sleepyhead… time to do your homework.”
Yamada pouted. “Can’t my break be extended?”
“Nuu! Finish your homework first! Or no more kisses from me!” Yuto folded his arms across his chest with a face that said, ‘I’m serious about this.’ After a moment, Yuto asked, “Why aren’t you doing anything?”
“I can’t exactly get up with you sitting on me.”
“Oh! Sorry!” Yuto got off of Yamada and the shorter boy walked over to the chair, scooting the chair towards his desk.
Yamada picked up a pencil and diligently tried to do the homework. After a few hours, he finally understood the material and finished the ones that were due the next day along with starting early on some other ones. He finally realized that he didn’t hear a peep from Yuto during that time. He turned his head and saw Yuto fast asleep on the bed, drooling over the book. Yamada walked over and poked his cheek a few times. When Yuto didn’t even flinch, he sat on him.
“ACK!” Yuto cringed at the weight crushing his body. He was definitely awake now. “You’re heavy!!!”
“Have you done your homework?” Yamada ignored Yuto’s remark.
Yuto’s expression turned all weird and laughed nervously. “Well… I kinda uhh… fell asleep?”
“Get to work!” ordered Yamada.
“Mou… do I have to???” Yuto whined.
Yamada flipped Yuto around and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. “Yes, you do.”
Yuto wrapped his arms around his neck, pulling him down. “Give me a little kiss so I can get motivated?”
“No! Once you finish what you’re supposed to do, that can be your reward,” Yamada stated, crossing his arms.
“Why am I sensing some kind of déjà vu here?” Yuto scowled.
“Because you did the same thing to me.” Yamada smirked as he shifted to the bed.
“Not even one quick, tiny kiss?” Yuto pleaded.
Yamada shook his head and Yuto directed his eyes towards the boring book. Suddenly a shadow appeared over him and Yuto looked up. Yamada gave him a brief kiss and whispered, “Did you know that you’re my motivation?”
Yuto smiled and said, “If I'm your motivation, then you’re my inspiration.
